Archive for January, 2015

Practice is underway for the 2015 season, but the Lafayette Brawlin’ Dolls are not scheduled to host another home game until the fall. LBD may skate in a few road games in the spring and summer of 2015, but those dates are still being finalized. Home games in 2015 will continue to be held at the Brawl House at the Tippecanoe County Fairgrounds.

Saturday, Sept. 19 vs. Happy Camper Rollergirls (Fort Wayne, Ind.)

Sunday, Oct. 18 vs. Prairieland Punishers (Decatur, Ill.)

Saturday, Nov. 14 vs. Battle Creek Cereal Killers (Battle Creek, Mich.)

Members of LBD will be hanging out at People’s Brewing Company Sunday, Jan. 25 from 3-5 p.m. Come grab a pint or two and talk to the team about what it is like to play, ref or NSO roller derby. The Brawlin’ Dolls want to meet you.

Stay tuned for schedule updates and other news about the Brawlin’ Dolls.

Are you interested in skating with the Lafayette Brawlin’ Dolls? We want to meet you!

You don’t need any gear or skating experience to come for the night!

We are hosting an Open Practice for interested skaters on Monday, Jan. 19. Practice begins at 7 p.m. at the Brawl House.

You will get plenty of info about the costs and time commitments of derby and we will explain the best places to find gear. Come wearing athletic shoes clothing and bring a bottle of water. Be prepared to do a baseline fitness test with one of our trainers.

If you have gear already, please bring it! It is not required for the Open House night.
